always confused

Liyana Fizi.
A local (Malaysian) singer-songwriter. Absolutely love this performance of hers, and haha that little cough in the middle of her song lol. I have a thing for girls with guitars okay.

I'm just gonna have to be really honest and say that she's not the most amazing singer I've seen. She's good, but she ain't no mariah carey or beyonce. But good music is more than just a powerful voice. She writes her own songs, & sings them in a very.. carefree (?) way. her music is just so stripped down and honest.

I'm lucky that I have friends here and back home who appreciate music that I like too. My friend in Malaysia recommended her songs to me once and that was how I got to know of her existence. But that was years ago and I almost forgot about her until one of my friends here started singing her songs (circa Estrella lol) and reminded me of her the other day. Went on youtube to search for more of her stuff and dug up this old song of hers.

And look at the lyrics. So beautifully written.
